 Diciembre. Sinónimo de posadas y regalos. Velas, perfumes, blusas de tiendas departamentales.. ¿targetas de regalo? eso diste el año pasado. ¿Que se puede regalar? o ¿que me gustaría que me regalen?. Mi respuesta se reduce a tres palabras anglosajonas: coffee table books. ¿Interesantes? sí , ¿decoradores? también.
Encontré algunos bastante buenos que valdría la pena regalar, nada como un buen libro. ¿Yo? ¡Los quiero todos!

December.  Synonim of parties and gifts. Smell candles, perfumes, blouses of department stores.. gift cards? you gave that last year. Un día en 1968 el fotógrafo de guerra Don McCullin recibió la comisión de Apple Corporation para pasar un dia fotografiando a Los Beatles para la portada de la revista Life. En ese tiempo, la banda (en la cúspide de su fama) estaba en medio de la grabación de the White Album, la guerra estaba a todo en Vietnam y los Beatles fueron las figuras icónicas de un nuevo movimiento d ela juventud. McCullin hizo veinte rollos en blanco y negro en varias locaciones de Londres, desde los bancos de Thames hasta el jardín de Paul McCartney. Aparte de la portada de Life y otras dos fotos en el libro de McCullin llamado In England, el resto de estas imágenes nunca habían sido publicadas, pero ahora estan disponibles en este libro.  

One day in 1968 war photographer Don McCullin received a commission from the Apple Corporation to spend a day photographing the Beatles for a Life magazine cover. At the time, the band (at the top of their fame) was in the middle of recording the White Album, the war was raging in Vietnam and the Beatles were the iconic figureheads of a new youth movement. McCullin shot twenty rolls of black-and-white film in various locations across London, from the banks of the Thames to Paul McCartney's garden. Apart from the Life cover photograph and 2 pictures in McCullin's book In England, the rest of these images have never before been published, but are now available here.

Y ¿por qué no?  Alexa Chung cuenta como el barrio de Williamsburg en Nueva York es algo así como su amante, mientras que Londres, es mas como su esposo. En el video recorre las tiendas en las que a ella le gusta comprar, (con su estilo tomboy/baby girl). Muero por ir a "bird" , o como se llame.
